
Berry Scones
A little morning treat! I bake these on days I’m dying for a baked good but don’t want to blow out with actual bakery food. They are soft and flavoursome, especially with some butter! You can swap the blackcurrants out for any berries you like, often I’ll use blueberries. I chose blackcurrants this time as our local organic shop had them and they looked so cute and little. Sticky Lemon Slice
This is to die for! I’ve adapted the recipe from one I sourced online. Made it a little less sickly sweet and more tangy. Whilst the ingredients are mostly nutritious it doesn’t mean it’s a free for all. This is still a treat to enjoy once in a while. Because I can’t trust myself with sweet foods (would’ve thought I could by now, eye roll), whenever I make sweet things I try a slice then either give it away or portion it and put it in the freezer. Otherwise I go to town on it
